Middlesbrough vs Chelsea: Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup | FA Cup

Chelsea take on Championship outfit Middlesbrough in Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final with Thomas Tuchel’s men eyeing a semi-final berth.

The Blues last took on French side LOSC Lille in the second leg of the Champions League Last 16 contest with a 2-1 win secured to move through to the last eight.

Let us now have a look at how Thomas Tuchel might set up his Chelsea side against Middlesbrough –

3-4-2-1

Kepa will be expected to take over the goalkeeping duties from Edouard Mendy with the latter in line for some well-earned rest to sit out the weekend cup clash.

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to rest some of his defensive regulars too and hand game time to the likes of Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah in the heart of the backline.

In midfield, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount will push for a call up to the first XI for Chelsea with Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante likely to give way.

Romelu Lukaku is tipped to lead the line once again with Chelsea’s in-form dangerman Kai Havertz expected to drop down to the bench for the forthcoming game.
