Ex-Blues manager Maurizio Sarri is rumoured to be planning a double raid on the Chelsea camp this summer for signing Emerson Palmieri and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Both players, who face uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel’s charge, have been linked with a move to Serie A giants Lazio where Sarri is hoping to bolster his ranks in the ongoing transfer window.
Emerson spent last season on loan at Lyon and his return to the Bridge this summer comes amid increasing speculation of Chelsea being open to cash in on him in a permanent transfer with Lazio keeping tabs, according to a report from The Sun.
The England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek, meanwhile, is understood to have been identified as the viable replacement to be lined up for the outgoing midfield maestro Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who is close to leaving Lazio.
Sarri has been keen on moving in for the highly-rated Loftus Cheek since he took over at the top job with the creative midfielder impressing the Italian coach during their only season together in 2018-19.
