The Italian Manager has engraved his name in the history books of Chelsea after maintaining a 10 match unbeaten streak.
When asked about the performances of last night, these were his opinion.
Sarri about the game
‘We were in trouble the first 10 minutes. They started very well, very aggressively. They pressed in our half. We were in trouble.
‘Then we started to move the ball very well, very fast.
The advantage was only a consequence of that. We managed the second half better than in other matches.’
‘We defended better than in the last three matches, apart from the first 10 minutes. We were able to cover the men who had the ball in the other half. So: very good, very good.’
Sarri about how Morata performed?
‘Alvaro today played well. He went to the ball when it was necessary. He went deep when it was necessary. He played a very good game. Probably he could have scored more, he had three or four opportunities, but he scored a good goal. The last three or four matches can be a good restart for him.’
Sarri about the confidence of Barkley
‘Barkley is doing very well. In this period, he is playing really very well.
‘He has improved very much in the defensive phase. He has improved his physical condition. Last season was very difficult with a very serious injury.
‘He is a very good player from the technical point of view. Now I think Ross is complete.’
Sarri about Hazard
‘I want Hazard in every match if it’s possible. We have a lot of very good players, but Hazard is something different. I am very happy the team was able to score seven goals in two matches without Hazard. It’s a very good sign.
‘I want Eden as soon as possible. I don’t know for Wednesday, but I hope for Sunday.’
