Incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly prepared to part company with Real Madrid target Kai Havertz in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Havertz has been earmarked as one of the names on Real’s summer wish list with the Spanish giants pushing to line up a replacement for Karim Benzema who could leave the club later this year.
There is the expectation that Benzema, who is believed to have received a mega-money offer from Saudi Arabia, might pen a short-term extension with Los Blancos and Real will look to reinforce their front line with a new signing.
According to a recent report from Relevo, it is claimed that Real Madrid target Havertz could be allowed to head out the Stamford Bridge exit door by the new Chelsea boss Pochettino should the latter be guaranteed a replacement from the market.
The former Bayer Leverkusen Havertz has not hit the ground running in a consistent fashion since arriving in west London in the summer of 2020 but Real are keen to snap up the German forward to fill the void of Paris Saint-Germain-bound Marco Asensio.
