According to a recent tweet from the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will have Pochettino arriving in west London to sign a three-year contract with his new employers who had committed to an extensive search for their next permanent gaffer.
Chelsea are keen to rebuild after a difficult season which will see them finish in the lower half of the league table and not compete in European club football next season despite spending close to £600 million on new signings in the past year.
Pochettino is backed to bring in fresh blood for the squad he will inherit over the summer and the incoming manager will also be tasked with offloading some high profile names in order to trim a bloated squad.
