Two players of Chelsea- Mateo Kovacic and Thiago Silva have been nominated for the EA SPORTS Team of the Year as reported by the Chelsea Official Website. The fans of Chelsea can vote them in the EA SPORTS Team quite easily. The two players had a wonderful season and made their names in the list of the 70 players.
For the previous three years, N’Golo Kante has been a consistent name in the EA SPORTS Team of the Year but was not included this time. Kovacic, Kante’s midfield partner and new summer signing defender, Thiago Silva are the only two added.
Kovacic was awarded the Player of the Season for Chelsea in the previous season due to his consistent performance in the midfield. He was Lamaprd’s undroppable player and only two players featured more than the Croatian international.
Brazilian Thiago Silva led his team, Paris Saint Germain to the Champions League Final where they lost to Bayern Munich 1-0. He even won the French League as well and moved to Chelsea this summer.
Silva’s presence helped the struggling defence of the Blues and went to keep a 17 game unbeaten streak in all competitions-something which was unthinkable in all these years.
