Mason Mount is reportedly in line to put pen on paper on a new Chelsea deal with a major increase in wages on the cards for the England international playmaker.
The Chelsea youth academy product has been a standout performer for the Blues in the recent past and was honoured with the club’s Player of the Year accolade for the 2020-21 campaign on the back of his stellar run of form.

Reports from Goal have suggested that the 22-year-old Mount is in the reckoning to be offered a new deal by the Chelsea camp who are busy pushing for extended terms to the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Trevoh Chalobah.
Mount is understood to be keen on renewing his contract at Stamford Bridge but is hoping for a major bump in his wages with the player’s £75,000 per week pay packet meaning he is among the lowest earners in Thomas Tuchel’s ranks.
A new contract for the Englishman with an improved wage is likely to put Mount in the same bracket as his attacking partners Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, both of whom signed for the Blues in last year’s summer transfer window.
