Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount has been announced as the patron of a charity for children and families who are severely ill on the day of his birthday, as he turned 22 years old. He was even nominated as one of the valuable players out of the 70 people list before his birthday.
The UK charity called ‘Together for Short Lives’ is something very close to Mason Mount’s heart. He has voiced his opinion through hi sanctions by raising enough funds to facilitate the charity lend hands to the growing number of children having life-limiting conditions and families, who need support. Mason’s aim is to make a lifetime difference to all these people and this shows what kind of person he is.
Mason worked over the previous year to raise funds and give support to the campaign of the Children’s Hospice Week by getting behind its Christmas Together Appeal. Not only did he made a passionate film that appealed to these people with life risks, but he also conducted some surprise zoom calls to random families supported by the ‘Together for Short Lives’.
‘I received the best birthday present today,’ says the Chelsea midfielder as per Chelsea’s Official website.
‘Together for Short Lives’ has made me a patron of its charity. I’m so proud of the work they do to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Together for Short Lives is a lifeline to them and I have seen first-hand the truly amazing work they do.’
The Chelsea midfielder is also giving an opportunity to become a patron. He is handing out a chance to win two tickets to the Nike Hospitality Box at Stamford Bridge for a Chelsea game and meet him in person. You can do that by visiting Mount’s Just Giving page.
