Manchester United are set to challenge Chelsea’s plans of signing Denzel Dumfries this summer with the Red Devils considering a move for the Dutchman.
The Inter Milan wing-back has been one of the players in his position and has courted interest from the Premier League big boys of late with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur keeping close tabs on him.
After impressing for the Orange at the World Cup last year in Qatar, Dumfries has been tipped for a move to a top side in the near future as Chelsea remain hopeful of landing his prized signature to bolster their backline.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s interest in singing Man United’s full-back Diogo Dalot could lead to the Old Trafford camp tabling a swap deal with Dumfries heading to the English top flight.
The Portugal international Dalot has grown into an important player for the United boss Erik ten Hag and he has made 31 appearances this season but his club’s interest in signing Dumfries could lead to his exit.
