Manchester United still have an interest in signing Chelsea loan star Joao Felix

Manchester United still have an interest in signing Chelsea loan star Joao Felix and could be making an offer for the Portuguese attacker in this summer’s transfer window.

Felix has impressed in the Premier League since joining Chelsea in the January transfer window on a short-term loan running until the end of the season and there is speculation that the Blues are keen to make his move permanent.

The Chelsea boss Graham Potter has been very happy with Felix’s impact in the attacking third of the pitch and the former is pushing for the club’s board to strike a deal with Atletico Madrid to retain Felix at the Bridge beyond the coming summer.

According to a report from the Spanish publication AS, however, Chelsea might have to fend off competition from arch rivals Manchester United who remain keen on Felix’s signature and considering tabling an offer for him.

The £80 million price tag could prove to be too steep for United who are looking to bring in a more prolific and established goalscoring option come the summer to bolster their front line.
