Manchester United register interest in signing Chelsea rebel Antonio Rudiger

Premier League heavyweights Manchester United have registered an interest in signing Chelsea contract rebel Antonio Rudiger whose stay in the English capital is nearing its end.

The Germany international’s long drawn out contract standoff at Stamford Bridge continues to attract speculation heading into the forthcoming January transfer window where he is free to discuss pre-contract terms with his suitors.

According to reports from Sky Deutschland, it is claimed that Manchester United are the latest club to throw their hat in the ring for Rudiger’s signature which is much coveted in the market.

The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich hold a strong interest in signing the Chelsea man with rumours suggesting that Real Madrid are the frontrunners as the Spaniards are willing to pay the defender’s wage demands.

Thomas Tuchel’s repeated attempts to tie down his star centre-back to renewed terms have hit a dead end with the Chelsea boss now understood to be resigned to lose out on Rudiger’s services at the end of the season.
