Manchester United are said to be ready to move in for Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech who is linked with an exit from the Stamford Bridge fold before the transfer window slams shut.
Ziyech has fallen down the pecking order in the Chelsea camp and with his curtailed game time in recent times, the former Ajax playmaker could seek a new destination to get his career back on track.
According to a report from the French news outlet L’Equipe, Ziyech’s old boss Eric ten Hag, who is now in charge of Manchester United, is keeping close tabs on the 29-year-old Ziyech and is willing to table a reasonable offer to secure his signature.
United are fretting over Chelsea’s potential high valuation of Ziyech should the Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel give his nod to parting ways with the playmaker this summer as he eyes up attacking reinforcements from the market.
Ziyech turned out in bit-part role for Chelsea last term as he netted just four goals and three assists in 23 Premier League outings with a majority of his first-team football coming off the bench.
