Manchester City vs Chelsea: Chelsea Predicted line-up | FA Cup 2023-24

Champions Manchester City faces English rivals Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side are in fine form in the Premier League as they sit at the summit of the points table. Arsenal and Liverpool failed to win their respective games giving the former title holders a chance to jump to the first spot.

Meanwhile, the Blues destroyed Everton 6-0 with Cole Palmer scoring four goals. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are slowly but steadily moving up the points table.

However, their chances of landing a spot in the European competitions depend on whether they can win the rest of their matches.

They were unable to lift the Carabao Cup after being knocked out in the finals by Liverpool. This young Chelsea side will need to prove that they are on the right track by going all out for the FA Cup title.

It will give them a huge boost in a season where they have experienced enough highs and lows. This will be a tough test for them but they have nothing to lose and can make it count.

Talking about line-ups, we expect Nicolas Jackson to lead the front-line with Mudryk and Noni Madueke covering the flanks.

Chelsea team

Palmer will be playing as an attacking midfielder and the club needs him to continue his goal scoring form. Conor Gallagher will play alongside Moises Caicedo in defensive midfield role.

Malo Gusto, Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile and Marc Cucurela will complete the defense. Djorde Petrovic will start in front of goal.

We expect Pochettino to field a strong starting XI since they won’t risk experimenting with new players. City will be playing two games in three days and the Blues can take advantage of their opponent’s hectic schedule.

The fans will be witnessing a high octane semi-final clash. The last time both sides faced in the Premier League, they both shared equal points as they drew 1-1.
