Manchester City play hosts to Chelsea on Saturday in Premier League action leading up to the May 29 Champions League final showdown between the two English heavyweight sides.
The Blues most recently stepped out on the Stamford Bridge pitch in a 2-0 win over Real Madrid with goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount securing Thomas Tuchel’s side a spot in the final of the much-coveted Champions League competition.
Here is Tuchel is expected to set up his Blues starting eleven for the weekend clash at the Etihad Stadium-
3-4-2-1
Eduoard Mendy should continue in goal for the west Londoners as league football remains ever so important with Chelsea not yet ensured of a top-four finish and Mendy’s recent run of form makes him the best bet between the sticks.
Some changes could be on show in the defence with Kurt Zouma likely to be included at the expense of Thiago Silva who had started the recent UCL semi-final fixture.
Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are expected to continue as the midfield pairing following their fantastic showing against Madrid on Wednesday night.
The likes of Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech would be in line to grab a starting role come Saturday with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz tipped to make way for the duo.
