Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic is set to return after getting sidelined with a hamstring injury for two months.
Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard announced on his press conference that Pulisic will be included in the team list for the game against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
The American winger will be in the squad for the first time in this 2020-21 campaign. The winger scored Chelsea’s only goal in the 2-1 FA Cup final defeat against Arteta’s Arsenal. He was injured in that match and missed the Champions League match against Bayern Munich too.
The 22 years old talented attacker played 32 games in the previous term across all competitive league for Chelsea. It was his debut campaign after he moved from the Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund to Stamford Bridge.
After football resumed following the COVID-10 pandemic shutdown, he was undeniably the best player for Chelsea. He netted 11 goals and assisted 10 times and the coach will be delighted to get his best player back on the team list after such a long time.
Lampard says @cpulisic_10 is in the squad for tomorrow's game but won't start as his recovery from injury continues to be managed. Hakim Ziyech is getting closer but isn't ready to play just yet. #CHECRY

Lampard mentioned in his pre-match press conference on Friday that Pulisic may not be in the starting XI but can have a short spell in the second half as a substitute. Certainly, that is what Pulisic will need to return to match fitness gradually after his long break from football.
He has also not featured for the USMNT in a year the national team would likely expect him to be back for the friendly matches next month if he is fit enough.
