Luis Enrique will be jetting to London with his agent to hold further talks with the Chelsea board as the Spaniard has emerged as a potential replacement for Graham Potter.
Potter’s sacking on Sunday evening has led to the Stamford Bridge hierarchy’s search for a new head coach in the dugout with the likes of ex-Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann and Enrique on Chelsea’s shortlist of candidates.
The 52-year-old Enrique is believed to have successfully sold a clear vision for the team to the Blues board and the former FC Barcelona manager will be landing in London soon for further discussions with the Chelsea camp.
According to a report from The Independent, it is claimed that confidence from Spain that Luis Enrique could be appointed as the next Chelsea manager although the club are looking at viable options before making a decision.
Enrique has been out of work since leaving the Spain job following their disappointing showing at the World Cup where the 2010 champions were knocked out by Morocco in the round of 16.
