Mount’s future at Stamford Bridge beyond the end oft the season hangs in the balance after his talks with the club over a new deal hit a roadblock as Chelsea were unwilling to accept his salary demands.
According to a claim from football.london, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who have been credited with a strong interest in signing the England international Mount, are set to step up their efforts to land his coveted signature this coming summer.
Klopp is desperate to revamp his struggling midfield and Mount could be the most viable option available in the transfer market to freshen things up in the engine room for Liverpool who have endured a torrid campaign this term.
