Leicester City demand at least €60 million for Chelsea target Wesley Fofana

Leicester City have demanded at least €60 million for parting ways with Chelsea target Wesley Fofana in this summer’s transfer window, according to French publication L’Equipe(via Hadrien Grenier).

Fofana has emerged on the radar at Stamford Bridge following Chelsea’s long-standing efforts to bring in Jules Kounde going in vain with Barcelona hijacking Thomas Tuchel’s approach for the France international centre-back to land his signature.

With Tuchel desperate to add to his defensive ranks before the transfer window closes, the Chelsea head coach has identified the promising Leicester defender Fofana as a top name on his shopping list despite his steep price tag.

The Foxes have set their asking price for the Frenchman no lower than the €60 million mark with Chelsea joined by Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in the chase to sign Fofana whose deal at the King Power Stadium runs until 2027.

Chelsea have been linked with the likes of Inter Milan mainstay Milan Škriniar and Manchester City’s Nathan Ake with Tuchel on the hunt for another centre-back after snapping up Kalidou Koulibaly earlier in the window.
