Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has issued high praise for Thomas Tuchel ahead of the upcoming showdown at the King Power Stadium.
Rodgers’ men will be playing hosts to Chelsea over the weekend in what promises to be a high-octane clash between the two English heavyweights who are at opposite ends of the league table.
The Foxes have claimed just two wins out of their ten outings so far in the campaign while the table-toppers Chelsea look set to continue their winning ways on their travels to the Midlands.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been upbeat in their recent showings on all fronts and with a three-point cushion at the summit of the Premier League standings, the Chelsea boss will be counting on his players to secure the win against an under-fire Leicester outfit.
Speaking to the media in his pre-match presser, Rodgers praised Tuchel’s work at Stamford Bridge since his appointment earlier this week with the Northern Irishman admitting his side will need to be at their very best on Saturday.
“It’s a big challenge because they’re a fantastic team.”
“Thomas has got them organised and working well. They have an outstanding manager and an incredible squad of players who have the confidence of winning a big title. They can bring players in and it doesn’t make a difference.
“The level is really high tactically and technically. When you play the big teams, you need to be at the top of your game, you need to be relentless in your work, and you need a bit of luck as well. We’ll be ready for it.”
