Leeds United and Crystal Palace are leading the pack for the signature of Chelsea’s in-demand midfield talent Conor Gallagher who is set to be shipped out by Thomas Tuchel on a loan spell for the upcoming campaign.
The 21-year-old playmaker has found his suitors in Leeds United and Crystal Palace with both Premier League clubs hoping to leap ahead to sign Gallagher who has joined up with the rest of the Chelsea squad for the pre-season training camp.
Reports from football.london claim that the Chelsea youngster remains keen on casting a good impression on Tuchel for a berth in the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge with the new Premier League season kicking off in less than three weeks from now.
However, Leeds United have made a concrete approach for taking on Gallagher on a season-long loan spell with the Elland Road outfit making a pitch to the player in order to lure him to Yorkshire in this summer’s transfer window.
Gallagher was a regular for West Brom during his loan stint at the now relegated club and despite the Baggies’ enduring a dismal promotional campaign last season, the Chelsea loanee earned major praise for his displays.
