Lazio’s chief is in London to hold talks with Chelsea about the futures of targets Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Emerson Palmieri with both players linked with a move abroad.
According to a report from the Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport ( via football.london), it is claimed that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has made the travels to the English capital to fast-track deals for Loftus-Cheek and Emerson.
The former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is believed to be keen to reunite with his old players and is hopeful that an agreement could be struck with the Blues for the new signings to arrive at the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
Sarr has had his eye on a host of Chelsea first-team players currently on the fringes with the Italian coach keeping close tabs on Chelsea’s No.2 Kepa who is looking for a move away from Stamford Bridge before the transfer window slams shut.
The Blues, meanwhile, are credited with an interest in Lazio shot-stopper Thomas Strakosha who has his terms with the Serie A side expiring at the end of this month and heads into free agency.
