Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard has revealed that he is completely engulfed with his new managerial job and wants to bring success to the club.
“I’ve completely engulfed myself in this job and I want to bring success to this club. Coming back to Chelsea and receiving that reception that I did from the fans, you want to bring the supporters that success because they deserve it.
So that’s what we are all working towards now,” said Lampard to the Chelsea official website.
In the previous term, Chelsea finished in the fourth position of the Premier League on Lampard’s debut season as a manager. Lampard although secured the Champions League for the club but addressed the problems plaguing in the club.
“It’s a tough job but it’s a rewarding job. I’m driving myself daily to be better and we know what it takes to taste success here,” he said.
“We want to do well and we know there’s a lot of work to be done to achieve our goals, but unless you give it absolutely everything then that’s not going to happen,” the manager added.
In order to achieve his goal, Lampard was backed by Roman Abramovich, Chelsea’s owner to overhaul the squad this season. Chelsea added a number of talented attackers to their side. That includes German generational talent, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ajax star Hakim Ziyech. They also signed Thiago Silva who moved from PSG on a free transfer. The owner now will surely expect results from the coach.
Lampard is confident to succeed as a manager and holds high aspirations. He definitely has the UEFA Champion league on his bucket list and winning Premier League is, of course, his first and foremost objective.
Although the Blues witnessed a mixed start in this 2020-21 season of Premier League, coach Frank Lampard said he is not at all concerned about the team’s form and they will step out on the field for the next match always with a desire to earn a victory.
