He believes certainly that the team is finding perfect coordination and balance between the defence and the attacking front as they managed to hold Burnley and scored three perfect goals.
Three goals came from Hakim Ziyech who was the man of the match, Kurt Zouma and Timo Werner.
Fans believe that the additional both these new players have resolved the defensive issues as Chelsea is unbelievably keeping clean sheets in consecutive matches- a sight which hasn’t been seen a long time since Lampard came as a manger.
“There was certainly balance there and we worked on that,” Lampard said in official Chelsea website.
‘I thought it was a very complete performance,’ he said. ‘They make it very difficult for you and you know you have to defend your box well, be very strong on first and second boxes. I wanted that to be one focus and the other focus to be how we keep developing on the ball.
‘That’s what really pleased me today – some of the passing and movement in the team from minute one until the end of the game was very good and it feels like a nice step forward.’
“I’m not going to jump up and down after a win like this, but it was a really positive day,” he added.
Goals from new arrivals Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, as well as Kurt Zouma’s header, gave a crucial three points but Lampard warns his team not to get carried away by impressive results.
