Kepa keen on a move to Lazio to reunite with former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri who is keen on bringing in the Spanish shot-stopper to the Stadio Olimpico
The goalkeeper is keen to get regular first-team action under his belt in wake of him making just four Premier League outings in the past season for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Il Messaggero ( via Metro), it is claimed that Kepa has personally touched base with Sarri to ask for a move to Lazio this summer with Chelsea open to shipping out Kepa on a loan deal.
Thomas Tuchel has his first-choice option between the goalposts in Edouard Mendy and with the Senegal international establishing himself as an important name on the team sheet, Kepa is likely to be looking for the exit door at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen whether Sarri and Lazio face any competition for landing Kepa in the transfer window with reports in the past crediting Newcastle United, on the back of their recent takeover, with an interest in Kepa’s signature.
