Chelsea’s expensive star, Kai Havertz opened up on his move to Chelsea in this summer transfer window. He said that the main reason to join the Blues was to win titles as it is worth more than at any other team.
The German winger also declared that the attacking vision of Chelsea lured him too to move to Stamford Bridge under the coach, Frank Lampard.
Kai Havertz told Sports Bild via SUN reports that it was very crucial for him to join the Blues.
“It was important for me to have a club with a vision. An exciting change is taking place. We are a young team with many great players. We think offensively.”
“We want to build something up here and attack. That motivates me a lot. And then it is a title with Chelsea is worth a lot more,” said Havertz.
Havertz missed the recent games due to COVID positive results and since then he is trying to get back on the pitch and hit the ground running.
The 21-year-old German international is still doubtful about his comeback during the International break as he still needs to get another negative result for COVID in order to take decisions on him.
Chelsea’s coach also stated that Havertz needs some time too before becoming a match fit as he is almost recovering. The Germany attacking winger has scored four goals in 10 games until now for the Blues following his move from Bayern Leverkusen at £71million.
He was linked with moves to top clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and even Bayern Munich but in the end, he finally landed at the West London club denying the rumours.
