Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante were pictured in training ahead of Chelsea hosting Brighton in Wednesday’s outing for Thomas Tuchel’s men in the Premier League.
The duo had been suggested as doubts to make the squad for the upcoming game with Havertz a COVID-19 concern while Kante suffered a recurrence of the knee injury last time around at Villa Park.
Kante was forced off the pitch in the second period of the 3-1 win for Chelsea against Steven Gerrard’s Midlanders with speculation rife that Tuchel will be without his midfield man for the midweek Stamford Bridge showdown.
Reports from the club’s official website, however, have confirmed that both Havertz and Kante were back in training in what was the final session for Chelsea at the Cobham facility before Brighton make the visit to the English capital.
The returns to the fold will be a major boost for Thomas Tuchel on the squad selection front as the Chelsea boss hopes for his players to keep the pressure up on the league leaders Manchester City.
