Juventus have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Jorginho this coming summer to bolster their ranks.
The Italy international’s name has long been linked with a move to Juventus but speculation of late has gained ground with the sanctions imposed on Chelsea by the UK government adding to the contract drama.
Jorginho could be forced to call it quits in the English capital earlier than expected with Juventus in pole position to land his signature come the summer, according to a report from the Italian news publication Tuttomercatoweb.
His current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in 2023 but Juventus are hoping to bring him ahead of the start of the new campaign with the Serie A giants keen on a major overhaul following their uninspiring domestic campaign this time around.
The boss Massimiliano Allegri is looking to dip into the transfer market for fresh faces and Jorginho is understood to be a top name on the shopping list for Allegri besides Roma dangerman Nicolo Zaniolo and Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori.
