Juventus are said to be ready to rival Barcelona’s long-standing interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Jorginho who is out of contract at the Bridge come next summer.
The Italy international’s future in the Blues shirt beyond the end of the current season has been the source of intense speculation despite Chelsea’s repeated attempts to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Rumoured to be at the front of the queue to sign the midfield maestro are Catalan giants FC Barcelona who have made an approach to bring in Jorginho as early as the January transfer window which opens in the New Year.
According to a report from the Spanish publication SPORT, however, Serie A giants Juventus have entered the mix for Jorginho’s signature with the Turin outfit ready to meet the player’s wage demands which could see them emerge as the new frontrunners.
Juventus are looking to bolster their under-fire midfield ranks and following a disappointing start to the new campaign, the Old Lady have identified the former Napoli man Jorginho as a top name on the shopping list.
