Juventus could rival Chelsea for the signature of former player Miralem Pjanic

Chelsea look poised to face a tough challenge from Serie A rivals Juventus for the signature of FC Barcelona outcast Miralem Pjanic in this summer’s transfer window.

The Bosnian international has been backed to leave Camp Nou ahead of the start of the 2021-22 season after what has been a terrible debut campaign for Pjanic in Spain.

Thomas Tuchel’s side who are on the hunt for a new midfield player this summer have made Pjanic one of the top names on their wishlist but reports from ESPN claim that the Blues could be rivalled by Juventus who are keen on their former player’s return to Turin.

Pjanic had jumped ship from Juventus to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2020 in a deal which also involved Arthur Melo moving in the opposite direction but with Pjanic’s failure to adapt to La Liga football, Juventus are lining up an offer to bring him back.

FC Barcelona’s financial troubles make them certain to offload Pjanic this summer leaving Chelsea with a tough contest to battle it out with Juventus for the 31-year-old Pjanic.
