Juventus are reportedly considering an approach for Chelsea centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly who signed for the Blues just last summer.
Chelsea’s squad – totalling 33 players has been an issue for the former Chelsea manager Graham Potter and his successor Frank Lampard, and it is believed that the club’s board are looking to trim their squad at the end of the season.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, it is claimed that Serie A giants Juventus are keen on Koulibaly’s services should the Senegal defender head out the exit door at Stamford Bridge later this year.
The former Napoli man has endured his fair share of struggles while adapting in the Premier League and with Chelsea unlikely to qualify for the Champions League next season, Koulibaly could be interested in moving back to Italy.
Juventus recently had their points deduction overturned which could have them turning out in Europe’s elite club competition next term and that is expected to play on Koulibaly’s mind should Chelsea be willing to sanction his sale.
