Julian Nagelsmann pulls out from the race to become Chelsea’s next manager

Julian Nagelsmann has reportedly pulled out from the race to become Chelsea’s next manager despite the initial round of talks held recently between the club and the German coach.

Nagelsmann was tipped for the Stamford Bridge top job this coming summer after Chelsea parted ways with Graham Potter earlier this month and brought in Frank Lampard as the caretaker boss until the end of the season.

According to a tweet from the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nagelsmann is no longer in the running for the Chelsea managerial vacancy following multiple rounds of talks between the two parties.

Nagelsmann is the second name on Chelea’s shortlist to bow out of the reckoning to become the next Blues’ manager after the former Spain and Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.

Former Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino, who is out of a job since leaving Paris Saint-Germain, is now likely to emerge as the favourite after another set of positive discussions with the Chelsea board which is committed to a thorough search for a longer-term appointment.
