Thomas Tuchel’s long-standing transfer target Jules Kounde intends to snub Barcelona’s interest in his services for a move to Stamford Bridge come the summer.
Kounde has long been a top name on the shopping list for the Chelsea manager Tuchel who is looking to add cover to his defensive ranks with the futures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger up in the air.
On the back of his stellar displays for Sevilla, the France international Kounde had nearly completed a big-money move to west London last summer to sign for Chelsea only for the deal to fall through in the final stages of the transfer window.
According to reports from the Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, it is claimed that Kounde has his heart set on joining Chelsea and will rebuff the interest registered by La Liga heavyweights Barcelona who are keeping close tabs on his situation.
Barca, under the new management of club icon Xavi, are in the market for defensive reinforcements with Chelsea veteran Cesar Azpilicueta one of the names scouted at Camp Nou.
