Sevilla’s highly-rated central defender Jules Kounde is claimed to be eager on sealing his much-anticipated move to Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window.
Reports from the Daily Star suggest that the young France international is keen on calling it quits at Sevilla to join his long-term suitors Chelsea who are now in an advanced stage of talks with the La Liga outfit.
A lot remains to be sorted out between the two parties with speculation of Sevilla being keen on a cash-plus-player deal with Kurt Zouma the likely candidate to make the travel in the opposite direction.
Kounde has been an influential figure for both club and country this past year and with Thomas Tuchel hoping to shore up his options at the back ahead of the start of the upcoming campaign, the 23-year-old Frenchman emerged as one of the top names on the shopping list for the Chelsea manager.
Chelsea look resigned to losing out on first-team regular Antonio Rudiger next summer with the Germany international refusing to pen a new deal at the Bridge which will commit his long-term future in the capital city.
