Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho could be set to raid his former club Chelsea for a center-back.
Chelsea’s rival club, Tottenham Hotspur with whom they recently lost in the penalties 5-5 of the Carabao Cup 4th round are keen to sign Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea as per reports.
Spurs’ coach, Jose Mourinho wants to sign the defender in a season-long loan. Antonio Rudiger has found himself down the pecking order this campaign and is now prepared to take an exit from the Stamford Bridge. He was coach, Frank Lampard’s first choice in the previous season but fell out of favor to his compatriot Kurt Zouma, who started the majority of the matches after lockdown.
This was maybe due to a huge error that saw him receive limited game time and it seems like Chelsea will not be hesitant to let him leave the club. He has not featured in any of the previous three Chelsea games and now seeking to find an option to move before the October 5 deadline
Amidst many speculations, Tottenham has emerged as a surprise suitor to sign the German international. They want to take him on loan but the Chelsea board is willing to sell him permanently.
The 27-year-old defender has just two years left on his Chelsea contract and as per Italian reports on Twitter, Mourinho has made the offer to Chelsea.

Although Rudiger wasn’t Tottenham’s first priority to sign, the North London club’s interest grew after they failed to land Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan.
