Chelsea midfield man Jorginho has been a star turn for his country Italy at the UEFA European Championships and the player was key to Roberto Mancini’s men booking their place in the finals to be held later this week.
The former Napoli man found the back of the net with his spot-kick which proved to be the decider for Italy to edge out Spain in the semi-final clash held on Tuesday night.
Jorginho has been equally important to Chelsea in the recent past with the Italian one of the most influential names on the Blues teamsheet since the hiring of Thomas Tuchel in January earlier this year.

João Santos, Jorginho’s agent, was full of praise for his client in the aftermath of his superb performance against Spain, with Santos claiming on Radio Marte that the Chelsea midfielder was worth a €50 million price-tag in the transfer market.
Santos added that other clubs had been in contact with him over a possible move elsewhere for Jorginho but there remained the possibility of staying put at Stamford Bridge for the player as talks with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia are in line to be held.
“I was at Wembley last night. Penalty kick? He takes that kind of penalty in training at least 30-40 times a day, he succeeds automatically now.”
“He won the Champions League and did very well. Now maybe on Sunday he can also win the European Championship. And maybe he can also enter the Ballon d’Or list.”
“Proposals for the boy? Today, Jorginho’s valuation is around €50m. If a team arrives… Obviously he has made it to many finals,” the agent explained.
“Did any club call me? Yes, but our first thought is to speak to Marina Granovskaia about the renewal. This is certainly a very important moment in his career, he has been waiting for it [Euro final] for 20 years.”
