Joao Felix is reportedly willing to sign for Chelsea on a permanent basis this summer even without Champions League football at Stamford Bridge next season.
Graham Potter’s Blues have their task cut out in achieving a top-four finish in the Premier League which will assure them of playing in Europe’s elite club competition for the next campaign.
Felix linked with the west London giants Chelsea in the January transfer window in a big money loan deal but his contract does not include an option to buy which means that Chelsea will have to negotiate a transfer fee with his parent club Atletico Madrid.
According to a report from 90min, Chelsea remain keen to reach an agreement over a permanent deal for the 23-year-old Felix who is prepared to make the move to the Bridge even if Potter’s men fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
It is said that the Atletico loanee, who has made a good impression at the Bridge with his attacking displays, is open to spend a year outside the Champions League should he be given a pivotal role in the Chelsea setup.
