Inter Milan are said to be stepping up their efforts to sign Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Chalobah struggled for regular game time at Chelsea this season and with the club prepared for a major clearout over the summer, he could be one of the first names to head out the exit door.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, it is claimed that Inter are pushing hard to bring the Chelsea defender to San Siro later this year with the Italians in touch with Chalobah’s camp on a daily basis.
Incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will make a decision over retaining Chalobah heading into the new season or part company with the 23-year-old who joined Chelsea in 2007 and graduated through the youth ranks.
The centre-back is valued by Chelsea at around £25 million which is an asking price that should not raise concerns in the Inter fold with the Champions League finalists keen to shore up their defensive roster by signing the Englishman.
