Serie A champions Inter Milan have reached out to Chelsea with an approach for Kepa Arrizabalaga who has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge in recent times.
Kepa, Chelsea’s club-record signing when he joined the Blues back in the summer transfer window of 2018 for a £71 million transfer fee, now plays second fiddle to last summer’s arrival at the Bridge Edouard Mendy who has established first-choice credentials for his new colours.
Reports from Todo Fichajes claim that Inter Milan have touched base with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea camp over a potential move fort the Spain international Kepa with the Italians willing to lodge a bid worth €10 million.
The aforementioned amount looks highly unlikely to tempt Tuchel and Chelsea into parting ways with Kepa who despite his recent fall down the pecking order remains a valuable asset to turn to in case Mendy falls prey to an injury issue this upcoming season.
Chelsea have recently brought in a new goalkeeping name to their first-team squad to fill the third-choice vacancy which had opened after Willy Caballero’s exit as ex-Fulham goalie Marcus Bettinelli signed a two-year-long deal at Stamford Bridge.
