Inter Milan have reportedly made a serious push to re-sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku whose lawyer is set to hold talks with the Nerazzurri board.
The Serie A runners up are not making Lukaku a top name on their wishlist for this summer with concerns on the pricing front but could be enticed to make an offer considering the forward’s uncertain future in the English capital.
Lukaku has failed to justify his sizable price tag since making the move to the Bridge last year from Inter where had emerged as one of the most highly-rated players following his terrific run of form across the 2020-21 campaign.
According to a report from Goal, Lukaku will be forced to drop his £325,000-a-week wage demands should he be keen on a San Siro reunion plans with Inter hoping to strike out a loan deal with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
The Blues boss Tuchel is understood to be mulling over parting ways with the likes of Lukaku and Timo Werner in the summer following his attacking lineup misfiring for the majority of the recently concluded season.
