Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta could emerge as a viable target for Serie A champions Inter Milan should the Italians offload the in-demand Achraf Hakimi to suitors Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Hakimi has been linked with a transfer away from San Siro and interest from both PSG as well as Chelsea has been strong in signing the Moroccon international in what would be a big-money move.
However, it is understood that it is the Parisians who enjoy being the frontrunners to sign the former Real Madrid wing-back which would mean that Inter Milan will have to use the transfer window to bring in a replacement for Hakimi.
Zappacosta, who returns to Stamford Bridge this summer after his season-long loan spell at Genoa this last campaign, is believed to be one of the names being scouted by the Champions of Italy, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 26-year-old Zappacosta is backed to leave west London ahead of the next season as the Italy international has Fiorentina chasing after his signature with Chelsea open to parting ways with the defender whose luck never really got going at the clubs since his arrival in the summer of 2017.
