Serie A champions Inter Milan have identified Marcos Alonso as a viable target to bolster the San Siro roster following a major overhaul in this summer’s transfer window.
The Italians sanctioned the sales of a host of the first-team star names which included Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku with the latter making a big-money move to Chelsea.
Reports from local news outlet Calciomercato claim that Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso has emerged on the radar of Inter Milan who are eyeing up a swoop for the Spaniard in the very near future.
Alonso has been a regular name on the Chelsea teamsheet in the first three games of the new season with Thomas Tuchel deciding to give the nod to him over England international Ben Chilwell who has been on the bench waiting for his chance.
Ivan Perisic and Aleksandar Kolarov are the two players operating in the wing-back role for the Italian outfit but both have their deals at San Siro running out in less than 12 months which puts Inter Milan on Alonso’s tail for the next summer’s transfer window.
