Serie A holders Inter Milan are believed to be plotting a move for Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso who has rumoured to be seeking an exit from the Blues camp this summer.
Alonso largely played second fiddle to Ben Chilwell at Stamford Bridge last season following Chelsea spending the big bucks on landing Chilwell’s much-coveted signature from Premier League rivals Leicester City.
Despite seeing his first-team involvement increase after Frank Lampard was handed the sack and Thomas Tuche took over, Alonso is understood to be in line to ask for a move elsewhere before the transfer window slams shut.
Report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato claim that Inter Milan are in line to reach out to Chelsea with an offer for the Spain international full-back who is valued at around €20 million by Thomas Tuchel’s camp should they sanction his sale.
Chelsea have some unfinished business for this summer’s transfer window with Inter Milan after being dealt repeated blows on the Romelu Lukaku front as Tuchel remains keen on signing the Belgian striker to bolster his frontline options.
