Inter Milan Keeper Andre Onana’s Agent Shuts Down Chelsea Transfer Rumors

Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana’s agent denies Chelsea transfer rumors, stating the goalkeeper is happy in Italy.

Onana, who joined Inter from Ajax on a free transfer last year, has made an impressive start to his Serie A career.

Chelsea, seeking signings after a disappointing season, is reportedly interested in signing a new goalkeeper, with incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino eager to get new players.

According to Italian reports, the Blues have approached Onana ahead of the summer transfer window. However, the keeper’s agent, Albert Botines, has clarified that the 27-year-old Cameroonian has no intention of seeking a move away from Inter.

As reported by the Metro, Onana said:

“Transfer market rumours are normal at this stage, but I prefer not to talk about it because it’s very early and now the boy is focused only on the pitch.”

‘We have a five-year contract with Inter. He has another four years on his contract and now he is focused only on the Serie A final and the Champions League final. He still has a long contract, don’t worry. He’s very happy, he’s playing for the strongest team in Italy.”

Despite Kepa Arrizabalaga reclaiming the starting goalkeeper position at Chelsea due to Edouard Mendy’s injury issues, the club has been consistently linked with signing a new goalkeeper for the upcoming season.

Speculation suggests that either Kepa or Mendy could be offered to Inter Milan as part of a potential exchange. However, the clear statement from Onana’s agent indicates that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino may need to explore other options.

Chelsea is said to be exploring alternative options for their goalkeeper position, with several players reportedly under consideration.

Among the potential targets are David Raya from Brentford, Gregor Kobel from Borussia Dortmund, and Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.
