Inter Milan could make a U-turn over their decision not to retain Romelu Lukaku following the striker’s return to form in front of the goal.
Lukaku was shipped out on loan to Inter last summer in a season-long agreement between the Serie A giants and Chelsea with the latter far from impressed by the Belgian’s return to the Premier League the year before.
Inter, however, had recently declared that they would not be retaining Lukaku’s services beyond the end of the season with the former Manchester United forward failing to hit the ground running at San Siro due to recurring injury troubles.
According to a recent report from the Spanish publication Fichajes, Inter could be interested in keeping the on-loan Chelsea striker with them for the next season on the back of the 29-year-old’s upturn in form.
It is said that Inter are having conversations with Lukaku and his representatives with a possible contract renewal agreement on the table which would include a salary bump for the player.
