Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta is confident that Chelsea target Andre Onana will not leave the San Siro fold in this summer’s transfer window.
The former Ajax goalkeeper is rumoured to be on Chelsea’s shortlist of candidates for a new shot-stopper but the Blues could be handed a setback in their pursuit with Inter appearing unlikely to part ways with Onana.
Inter chief executive Marotta, as quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport, insisted that the shot-stopper was not up for sale and a move away from San Siro this summer for the 27-year-old was not on the cards.
“It is difficult to predict the future.
“But we have not received any offers and the goalkeeper wants to stay here. We do not intend to put him on the market.”
Chelsea had been interested in a swap deal to sign Onana with either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy – both deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge – going in the opposite direction.
