Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has made a big claim over Romelu Lukaku’s transfer with the Belgian closing in on his return to San Siro this summer.
Lukaku looks set to call it quits at Stamford Bridge just a year into his much-hyped arrival back in England’s top flight with Chelsea forking out a club record fee to land the then Serie A top goalscorer.
The 29-year-old striker is now nearing a return to the colours of Inter Milan who are in line to re-sign Lukaku in a season-long loan deal with the player due for his medical examination on Wednesday morning, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano has quoted Inter Milan top executive Giuseppe Marotta saying that Lukaku was to make the trip to Milan on Tuesday night with the transfer expected to be subject to confirmation in the coming days.
Lukaku’s imminent exit is speculated to open the door wide open for Chelsea to bring in fresh faces for their attacking lineup with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele top priorities on the transfer front.
