How Chelsea Could Line-Up Against Bundesliga Giants Bayern Munich?

Chelsea welcomes Bayern Munich for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League tie on the back of a 2-1 win at the weekend.

Frank Lampard and Chelsea has gone four games without success in England’s top flight even as they claimed an emphatic 2-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Despite the three points Chelsea achieved at the weekend, the Chelsea legend and club boss (Frank) also have a lot of fitness issues to deal with ahead of the Bayern Munich fixture.

Here Chelseacore.com evaluates how the London side could line-up against the Bavarian giants at Stamford Bridge.

Out: Christian Pulisic (adductor), N’golo Kante (adductor).

Doubtful: Callum Hudson-Odoi (hamstring)

Olivier Giroud may have impressed starting against Tottenham Hotspurs, but the Frenchman could lose his place in the Chelsea side to Tammy Abraham. The English forward came through successfully after recovering from an ankle injury.

Ross Barkley made a positive impact following his selection in the Chelsea line-up, but the playmaker is expected to drop to the bench for Brazilian star Willian.

The rest of the Chelsea side may remain unchanged, hoping that the Chelsea Skipper Cesar Azpilicueta has fully recovered from the knock he picked from a controversial challenge from Giovani Lo Celso. Lampard may have opted against altering his match strategies especially positive performances in the past like they had against
Spurs at the weekend. However, he could revert to a back four ahead of the Bayern fixture.

Veteran goal keeper Willy Caballero is expected to remain in the Chelsea’s team for the fourth game running, thus keeping previous regular starters for Chelsea in goalkeeper Arrizabalaga among the
substitute bench.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is pushing for a start after recovering from hamstring. However midfielders N’golo Kante and Christian Pulisic are expected to be side lined for this match at home.
