Hazard Predicts Chelsea’s Game Against Manchester City

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will go head to head against champions of England Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium and Eden Hazard has backed his former side to beat Pep Guardiola’s side at the weekend.

The Real Madrid superstar was talking to reporters and when he was asked if he still watches Chelsea matches following his departure in the summer to the Santiago Bernabeu and if he thinks the Blues can beat City this weekend. And the 28-year-old Hazard replied by saying. “Of course I think so. It’s not going to be easy. It’s hard to play there. Last time we played them we lost 6-0, so bad memories for me and for Chelsea as well. But I think this season they are really good. They are really young, but they are really good, so why not go there and win the game?”

Chelsea has enjoyed a really good start to the season after a relatively slow opening few games and occupy the third spot on the Premier League table at the moment one spot and point ahead of Manchester City. On the other hand, the Belgian talisman Hazard is slowly getting into the groove at the Spanish capital. Following a rather poor start to life at Real Madrid, the star winger has found some form and is playing well for the European heavyweights, although he is yet to hit top gear.

Lampard has done quite a commendable job considering that he had only one year of managerial experience with Championship club Derby County prior to the job at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City suffered a 3-1 defeat against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in their last Premier League game and Chelsea should be looking to end Guardiola’s title hopes once and for all.
