Graham Potter is reportedly set to be given £250 million to spend on further recruitment by the Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly who is all out to back his new man in charge.
Potter took over the managerial reigns at Stamford Bridge last week nearly 24 hours after Thomas Tuchel was handed the sack in a major decision on part of Boehly since he assumed ownership of Chelsea earlier in the year.
According to a report from Le Parisien, it is claimed that Potter will be backed on the transfer front by the owners with the promise of over £250 million to fork out over the next two transfer windows.
A new sporting director is set to be hired at the Bridge which could ensure that the proposed spending on new signings happens in accordance with Boehly’s plans for the club despite a busy summer for the west London giants.
It remains to be seen what players will emerge on the new boss Potter’s radar come January with speculation of the 47-year-old eyeing up attacking reinforcements to freshen his front line options.
