Graham Potter provides an update on Christian Pulisic’s future at Stamford Bridge

In light of Christian Pulisic’s uncertain future at Chelsea, manager Graham Potter has provided an update on the winger.

The 24-year-old was strongly rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer after losing favour with his previous manager, Thomas Tuchel.

In 22 Premier League appearances for the Blues last season, Pulisic contributed eight goals.

However, in the midst of fierce competition for spots in the starting XI, he contributed in a small way to Chelsea’s success in securing Champions League qualification.

The American international would openly accept a transfer to AC Milan in January because first-team opportunities remain low under the new manager, Potter.

According to rumours, Todd Boehly wants to sign AC Milan star Rafael Leao and could offer a player and cash deal.

Additionally, the Rossoneri have reportedly had a long-term interest in Pulisic, which might make a transfer even easier to implement. However, Potter put an end to rumours about his player’s future before the American came off the bench to take the spotlight during Chelsea’s match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

As reported by the Metro, he said:

“It’s not straightforward to be a regular in a top-four team, but I can only comment on him in terms of how he’s been with me. “Really positive, he’s an intelligent guy, articulate, knows how to express himself.”

“My conversation with him has been good and positive. I’m not going to judge anybody on what has happened in the past; I’m going to make my own mind up. “Football hopefully decides.”

For the time being, with the winter transfer window not opening until January, the forward, who is valued at £44 million, will be working to secure a spot in Potter’s team before the World Cup.

If things work out well, then the young attacker might crawl back into the starting line-up for the Blues.
